2nd ZHM Summer School – Training and networking for young scientists

More than 30 PhD candidates from TUHH, HZG, and further universities participated in this one-week event. The programme of the Summer School included a variety of interactive workshops on, e.g., leadership skills, self-marketing, career management, and presentation training. Apart from these workshops, the participants had the opportunity to get to know each other better and to support each other in their research projects by means of collegial counselling. A pub quiz, where the PhD candidates and trainers could test their general knowledge, rounded off the event. An evaluation afterwards shows that almost all participants would either recommend or even strongly recommend this event to other doctoral candidates.
