1st ZHM Summer School

From 8 to 12 May 2017, the first Summer School of the Graduate School for Materials Science took place at Hotel Park Soltau in the beautiful landscape of the Lüneburger Heide. Nearly 30 PhD candidates from TUHH, HZG, and further universities participated in this one-week event. The programme of the Summer School included a variety of interactive workshops on, e.g., communicating in international teams, self-marketing, career management, and scientific writing. Apart from these workshops, the participants had the opportunity to get to know each other better and to hear about other research projects. An evaluation afterwards shows that all participants would either recommend or even strongly recommend this event to other doctoral candidates.
