Projects
The ZHM can financially support scientific projects, such as preparatory work for project proposals, over a limited period of time. Generally, joint project ideas of ZHM members are eligible, where at least one applicant must be based at the TUHH or the Hereon. Projects between a ZHM member (in this case TUHH or Hereon) and an industrial partner are also possible. Collaboration proposals conceived by two or more PhD students of the ZHM Graduate School for Materials Science can be supported with up to 10.000 €.
The project idea should relate materials science / materials engineering to one or more of the following strategic topics:
- Green Technologies
- Life Science
- Aviation and Maritime Systems
- Digitization
Previously funded projects (this list is continually updated):
- Aluminium alloys for laser additive production / ALaF
- LDH-based active protective treatment for aluminum alloys / LAPTA
- Probabilistic analysis & design optimization of additively-manufactured lattice structures
- Determination of the scatter and validation of probabilistic analyses of topologically optimized, additively manufactured titan structures
- Light-directed phases of liquid crystalline elastomers in nanoporous solids for materials with responsive photo-elasticity and actuorics / PhotoNaS
