- Emphasis on the combination of top-down and bottom-up assembly approaches, for example, Additive Manufacturing combined with Colloidal Assembly (AMCA)
- Nanoscale-engineering by atomic layer deposition (ALD)
- Optical phenomena in bioinspired ceramic-based macroporous materials
- High-temperature stable hierarchical materials
- Thin films deposition: Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) reactors
- 3D printing: Fused deposition modelling (FDM), Direct writing (DW) and Direct writing combined with colloidal assembly (AMCA)
- Sample preparation by powder technology: planetary, attritor and ball mill; mechanical presses and high-temperature sintering ovens
- Characterization of inks, loaded inks and polymers: Rheometer
- Characterization of Zeta potential: Zetasizer
- Characterization of particle size distribution: Mastersizer and Nanosizer
- Microstructural characterization: Metallographic preparation apparatus, Light microscope and Scanning electron microscope (SEM) with EDX setup
